Chief Minister Satheesan’s first visit to Delhi after becoming CM: Closed-door meeting with Kharge-Venugopal, discussion on this issue with Rahul Gandhi

After overthrowing the 10-year-old Left government in Kerala, the new Chief Minister of UDF VD Satheesan is on a Delhi tour. This is his first visit after assuming the post. Satheesan reached the national capital late on Friday night. The workers gave him a warm welcome till late night at Kerala House in Delhi. During his tour he met senior Congress leaders. These include Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge.

According to sources, Satheesan thanked the Congress high command for the full support received in the election campaign. The Chief Minister met AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal and party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra behind closed doors.

Talk on new government and new president

In these meetings, not only etiquette, but many important issues were discussed. How the new UDF government will work and what its policies will be were discussed in detail with top leaders. This visit is taking place at a time when the search for the new President of Kerala Congress is going on. In such a situation, it is believed that there has been a deep discussion with the top leadership on this important issue also.

Chances of meeting PM Modi

Sources say that Chief Minister Satheesan may also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi next week. However, no confirmed or official announcement of this courtesy call has been made yet. Let us tell you that in the recently held assembly elections, Congress led UDF has made a strong return to power in Kerala after a long gap of 10 years by defeating the Left.
