There came a time when he had to roam around many cities in search of employment. During this conflict, he worked as a chemist in a petrochemical company in Vadodara, Gujarat, where his responsibilities included chemical testing and laboratory work.
How did the idea of acting come to you?
Although he was working, he always had a desire to do something different in his heart. Since childhood, he had a deep passion for films and acting, which gradually attracted him towards theatre. This unfulfilled desire along with the job made him even more restless.
Eventually, following his heart, he left his job and moved to Delhi, where he entered the world of theatre. There he enrolled at the National School of Drama and began honing his acting abilities. But life in the theater world was not easy. Due to financial constraints, many times he had to work as a watchman.
How did it start?
During this time, he started giving small auditions and made continuous efforts to get work in films. In the initial days, he got only small roles, due to which it was difficult to make his mark. Gradually his hard work started bearing fruit. After years of hard work and patience, he got a film that changed his life.
That film was ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, which made him a star overnight. The character played in this film left a deep impression in the hearts of the audience, due to which people became crazy about his dialogues and acting. After this film, his name started resonating everywhere and he got a different identity in the industry.
