Maruti Suzuki's plans for electric vehicles are not limited to just e-Vitara; The company is also building an electric MPV—codenamed YMC—and is expected to launch it in 2027. This electric MPV is likely to use Suzuki's Heartect-e platform and may have a battery pack between 50kWh and 60kWh. With a high-capacity battery, it is expected to deliver a driving range of up to 500 km on a full charge. Expected features could include connected car technology, larger touchscreen, Level 2 ADAS in higher variants, wireless smartphone connectivity and a practical three-row cabin. The price of this vehicle is likely to be between ₹16 lakh to ₹18 lakh.
When will the facelift of Maruti Fronx arrive?
According to Gaadiwadi, the Fronx facelift is likely to be launched on September 5, 2026. The facelifted model may feature Suzuki's new in-house strong-hybrid system, which will come with the 1.2-litre Z-series petrol engine and promise better fuel efficiency. Although Maruti is yet to officially confirm the final powertrain lineup, the higher variants are expected to get features like larger infotainment screen, 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats and six airbags.
What to expect from the next-gen Maruti Baleno? The next-generation Baleno is expected to arrive in 2027, which will be the biggest update to Maruti's premium hatchback since the launch of the current generation. Changes are also expected in its design, in which a glimpse of the global market can be seen. Talking about the interior, it is expected to get a redesigned dashboard, digital instrument cluster, larger infotainment system, panoramic camera system and a comprehensive ADAS package in higher trims.
