KTM India has increased the price of its popular entry-level sports bike, KTM RC 160. The company has increased its price by approximately ₹ 15,000. After this increase, the ex-showroom price of KTM RC 160 now stands at ₹2 lakh. Despite the price increase, this bike will continue to compete with the Yamaha R15 V4 in the Indian market. **Competition with Yamaha R15 V4**

With the new price, the KTM RC 160 now comes very close to the price of the top model Yamaha R15 V4. The Yamaha R15 V4 is priced at around ₹1.98 lakh, making it around ₹2,000 cheaper than the KTM RC 160. The special thing is that despite its low price, Yamaha R15 V4 has features like TFT instrument display, traction control and quickshifter. This has made the competition between the two bikes more interesting.

**Powerful Engine**

KTM RC 160 has a 164.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine generates power of 18.73 bhp at 9,500 rpm and torque of 15.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. According to the company, this bike can reach a top speed of 118 kmph.

**Special Features**

The KTM RC 160 is built on a trellis frame. For a better riding experience, it has 37mm inverted forks at the front and preload-adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear. For braking, the bike has dual-channel ABS, 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes. The bike also includes features like 13.75-litre metal fuel tank, clip-on handlebar, full LED lighting and LCD instrument cluster.
