Abhishek Malhan starts reconstruction of Hanuman temple for flood relief in Assam

The floods in Assam have not only affected many families but also caused damage to religious places. Amidst this crisis, YouTuber Abhishek Malhan has decided to contribute to the relief work. He participated in flood relief work in collaboration with True Hope Foundation and has now started the process of rebuilding the flood-damaged Hanuman Temple.

Abhishek's contribution in temple reconstruction

Taking to social media, Abhishek shared that he got the opportunity to help rebuild a Hanuman temple that was affected by floods in Assam. He also shared the video of the place where the Hanuman idol was and there was a lot of damage due to the floods. The reconstruction of the temple was started with a puja. During this, Abhishek was seen plucking coconuts, distributing food to the local people and interacting with them. He described this initiative as special for him and said that he was happy to contribute to the construction of the temple.

5 lakh started for reconstruction

Abhishek told that he had initially pledged to give Rs 5 lakh for the reconstruction of the temple. Subsequently, True Hope Foundation also showed interest in this work and decided to add another Rs 15 lakh. Thus, the total amount for the reconstruction of the temple came to around Rs 20 lakh. Abhishek said that for him mere contribution of money is not important, but being a part of this work matters more. He described this work as a blessing of Bajrang Bali and expressed his desire to rebuild the temple.

Impact of flood in Assam

The floods that began in Assam on July 19 have caused problems in many areas. According to available data, Golaghat was one of the most affected districts, where more than 71 thousand people were affected. After this, more than 21 thousand people in Sivasagar and 13 thousand people in Jorhat were said to be affected by the flood. As part of this relief effort, Abhishek worked together with True Hope Foundation. He spent time with people and tried to understand their situation and provide assistance in times of need.
