Objective of the conference and key attendees
Jalandhar- Scheduled Caste Unity Empowerment Forum organized a conference at the National Institute of Technology Jalandhar on Tuesday. The main objective of this conference was to promote economic empowerment of the Scheduled Caste community, entrepreneurship and spread awareness about constitutional rights. Prominent persons of the society, thinkers and representatives of various social organizations participated in this program.
Message from Sardar Jasbir Singh Garhi
Punjab Scheduled Caste Commission Chairman Sardar Jasbir Singh Garhi and National Scheduled Caste Commission member Dr. Partha Biswas were mainly present in the program. Garhi said that to understand the thoughts of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, it is necessary to study his original literature. He also said that to understand Ambedkar's views one must read his own writings and not rely on someone else's interpretation. Referring to Ambedkar's books like 'Who Were the Shudras' and 'Who Were the Untouchables', Garhi highlighted various aspects of his thoughts.
Dr. Partha Biswas's Perspective
Dr. Partha Biswas said that it is necessary to provide equal opportunities to the youth and entrepreneurs of the Scheduled Caste community to build India based on the ideas of Dr. Ambedkar. He described social and economic empowerment as the need of the present time. Renowned social worker Dr. Krishna Gopal emphasized on promoting social equality and harmony, saying that there is no place for casteism in the basic ideology of India.

Social worker Pradeep Joshi talked about taking a pledge to take the message of harmony of Sadhguru Shri Ravidas Ji to every school, college, village and street on the occasion of 650th Prakash Parv.
Contribution of Hansraj Hans
Former Lok Sabha MP Hansraj Hans, who was awarded Padmashree and Sahitya Akademi Award, said that the message of equality and harmony is also found in our scriptures and the words of our gurus, but the important work of implementing it constitutionally was done by Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar. He also presented a patriotic song on this occasion. The program ended with the national anthem.
