Theft case and arrest
Mumbai Famous Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has recently become a topic of discussion on social media. Diamond bracelets worth approximately Rs 5 lakh were stolen from his house. The police have now achieved an important success in this case. After several months of investigation, the police arrested her 40-year-old domestic help. Now the police is making efforts to recover the stolen jewellery.
According to the report, the accused woman has been identified as Seema Vinod Ghate. She is a resident of Virar and was working in the house of Ameesha's mother, Asha Patel, for the last one and a half years. Asha Patel was suspicious of Seema ever since the bracelets went missing in January 2026.
Despite suspicion the accused kept denying
After the bracelet was stolen, Asha Patel interrogated Seema several times, but she always denied any involvement in the theft. Following this, Asha approached the Marine Drive police and lodged a formal complaint. On the basis of this complaint, the police registered an FIR under section 306 of the Indian Justice Code. After this, the crime detection team under the supervision of Senior Police Inspector Jitendra Kadam and Police Inspector Whatkar started investigation.
During investigation, police traced Seema Ghate to Virar and detained her. He was produced in the court, from where he has been sent to police custody till September 15.
Efforts continue to recover stolen bracelet
Police are now trying to recover the stolen diamond bracelet. Besides, it is also being investigated whether the accused woman has any criminal record or not. At present, the stolen bracelets have not been recovered yet. This case is being investigated by Assistant Police Inspector Pradeep Chaudhary and the Crime Detection Team of Marine Drive Police.
