Be it morning breakfast or evening tea, if you want to eat something which is delicious and also a little different, then there is no need to bring samosa-kachori from the market. A crispy and spicy breakfast can be prepared at home with wheat flour and lots of vegetables, which everyone, whether children or adults, will like. The specialty of this breakfast is its crispy outer layer and the spicy potato-vegetable stuffing inside. So let us know the easy way to make it.
First prepare spicy dough
Take wheat flour in a big vessel. Add celery, nigella seeds, salt, some oil, chili flakes and one spoon gram flour as per taste. Now add finely chopped coriander and mix everything well.
After this, knead a soft dough by adding water little by little. Do not keep the dough too hard. Keep it covered for some time, so that the dough sets well.
Prepare spicy stuffing from vegetables
Now take boiled potatoes in a vessel and mash them well. Add grated carrot, finely chopped onion, tomato, capsicum and green coriander to it.
To make the taste more spicy, add finely chopped green chillies to it. Now add Kitchen King Masala, Chaat Masala, Coriander Powder and salt as per requirement and mix everything well.
Due to chaat masala, the stuffing will have a light sour and spicy taste.
Make dough balls and fill with stuffing.
Now make medium sized balls of the prepared dough. Take one dough ball, press it a little with your hands and give it a bowl-like shape from the middle.
Place one tablespoon of prepared potato-vegetable stuffing in the middle. Now bring all the edges of the dough upwards and close the stuffing properly.
Press it lightly and flatten it a little. Similarly, prepare stuffing in the remaining balls also.
Fry on medium flame
Now heat oil in a wok or pan. After the oil is hot, reduce the flame to medium and carefully drop the prepared breakfast into the oil.
Fry it by turning it from both the sides until its color becomes golden and the outer layer becomes nicely crispy.
When the snack becomes golden brown and crispy, take it out from the oil.
Serve with green chutney
Your hot and spicy veg breakfast is ready. Serve it hot with green chutney, tamarind chutney or tomato sauce.Do try making this breakfast at home once – its taste with evening tea will remind you of samosa-kachori, but you can easily add vegetables and spices of your choice to it.
