Virat Kohli called Falahari Maharaj's allegations false

Virat Kohli's response to Falahari Maharaj's allegations

Controversy over Falahari Maharaj's allegations: Indian cricket star Virat Kohli has vehemently denied the allegations made by Dinesh Falahari Maharaj. Maharaj had claimed that Rs 5 crore was given to Kohli to invite him to Premanand Ji Maharaj's ashram. Kohli's spokesperson has described the allegations as “completely false and baseless”.

In a statement on Wednesday, Kohli's spokesperson said, “We wish to state unequivocally that the claims made by Falahari Maharaj Dinesh Sharma about Shri Virat Kohli are completely false and factually baseless. Shri Virat Kohli visits Premanand Maharaj Ji because of his deep reverence for Maharaj Ji.”

The spokesperson further said, “We strongly refute these claims and request the media to verify the facts and report responsibly before reporting such statements.”

It is worth noting that Virat Kohli and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, are followers of Premanand Maharaj and have visited his ashram in Vrindavan several times. However, Falahari Maharaj recently alleged that Kohli had received Rs 5 crore for his first visit to the ashram in 2023, sparking a fresh controversy.
