For premium bike lovers, Triumph has started booking its new retro motorcycle Bonneville T40 in the Indian market. Customers can pre-book it through the company's official website by paying a booking amount of ₹ 4,999. The company has launched Bonneville T40 in India this week. Along with this, Bonneville T40 Black and more affordable Bonneville T4 have also been launched in the market. The starting ex-showroom price of Bonneville T40 in Delhi has been kept at ₹ 2.80 lakh. The T40 Black variant is also priced at ₹2.80 lakh ex-showroom.
Delivery will start from November 2026
According to Triumph, deliveries of the Bonneville T40 in India will begin from November 2026. At the same time, for those buying Triumph's classic bike in a low budget, Bonneville T4 has been introduced, whose starting ex-showroom price is ₹ 2.55 lakh. The delivery of Bonneville T4 is expected to start from the second week of January 2027. However, delivery timelines may vary depending on the customer's city and respective dealership.
The bike is equipped with 349cc engine
The Triumph Bonneville T40 has a new 349cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The company has specially tuned this engine for the Bonneville series. This engine generates maximum power of 29 hp and peak torque of 31.2 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike comes standard with ride-by-wire throttle and slip-and-assist clutch for a better riding experience.
Retro design with modern features
Bonneville T40 has many modern features along with classic retro design. The bike has a 4-inch color TFT display that supports Bluetooth connectivity. Through this display, the rider can use features like turn-by-turn navigation, phone calls and music control. Apart from this, features like 5 riding modes, cruise control, cornering ABS and cornering traction control are also provided in the bike.
Suspension and Braking
For a comfortable ride, the bike has been provided with telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For safety, both wheels get ABS with disc brakes.
The bike has 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels.
Seat height can be reduced up to 770mm
The standard seat height of Triumph Bonneville T40 is 790mm. For short height riders, the company is also providing low-seat accessory, through which the seat height can be reduced up to 770mm.
There will be competition with these bikes
In the Indian market, Triumph Bonneville T40 will compete mainly with retro-classic motorcycles like Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB350 and Jawa 350. With retro design, modern technology and premium brand image, this Triumph bike will try to attract those customers in the 350cc segment who want modern features along with classic looks.
