Pakistan's great victory
Pakistan's young team achieved a historic win by 82 runs against Sri Lanka due to the excellent innings of Maaz Sadakat (96) and Sahibzada Farhan (73).
In this match, Pakistan scored 215 runs for three wickets with the help of Maaz Sadaqat's inning of 96 runs. Subsequently, his bowling restricted Sri Lanka to 133 runs, giving Pakistan an 82-run win.
This is Pakistan's highest score in domestic T20 matches and their second highest score overall. Earlier, he had scored 232/6 against England in 2021. Pakistan hit 13 sixes in this match, which is jointly second in terms of the number of sixes hit by them in any men's T20.
According to the ICC, the new team under the captaincy of Sahibzada Farhan has shown positive signs, even though experienced players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan were not present.
Farhan said after the match that it is a good win and we are preparing well. He said that if he continues playing like this, he will be able to score more than 200 runs every time.
Farhan scored 73 runs in the top order and made a partnership of 88 runs with Maaz Sadaqat.
Sadaqat performed brilliantly in his 10th international match and hit seven sixes at the age of 21. He said that he is trying to take full advantage of his form.
Only four Sri Lankan batsmen could touch double figures, leaving captain Kusal Mendis disappointed. He said that the batsmen had to take responsibility and they should have scored at least 200 runs.
