According to the instructions of Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority and as per the orders of District Judge, Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Sonbhadra, on 25.09.2026 afternoon, inspection of One Stop Center run by Women Welfare Department and legal awareness camp was organized by Rahul Civil Judge CD/Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Sonbhadra. During the inspection, Center Manager of One Stop Center Deepika Singh and Superintendent Pushpanjali were present and all other stops were found present.
At the time of inspection, one girl of 18 months 15 days, one girl of 10 days and one boy of 3 years were found residing in the Government Adoption Unit Sonbhadra. Instructions were given to take special care of its care and diet. Cleanliness was found in the one stop center and all the registers were presented for inspection which were found to be in updated condition. All the stops present in the One Stop Center are protected under the Prevention of Ethical Trade Act 1956, Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005, Dowry Prohibition Act 1961, Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act 1971, Maternity Benefit Act 1961 – up to 26 weeks, Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013, against gender crimes. Information regarding “Child Protection Act 2012, Antenatal and Childbirth Diagnostic Technical (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act 1994, Equal Remuneration Act 1976, Indecent Portrayal of Women (Prohibition) Act 1966, Hindu Succession Act 1956” and also information about all the schemes being run by NALSA such as DAWN Unit, ASHA Unit, SAMVAD Unit and JAGRITI Unit. They were given and directed to organize awareness camps at various places in the district and take action regarding the said laws and inform the District Legal Services Authority, Sonbhadra.
Apart from this, under the joint aegis of District Legal Services Authority, Sonbhadra and Human and Women's Institute (Varanasi/Sonbhadra), a special program was successfully organized in the Panchayat Bhawan located in Gram Panchayat Sukrit of Sonbhadra district. This program was organized under the campaigns being run to commemorate the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, especially with the aim of making the people of Musahar community aware and connecting them with the mainstream of the society. 50 villagers were present during the program.
The said program was organized under the able direction and guidance of the organization's coordinator Manoj Kumar Pal. Paralegal volunteers Pradeep Mishra and Ajay Mishra played a key role in implementing the program on the ground and connecting the villagers. During the programme, Mahatma Gandhi's ideas of truth, non-violence and cleanliness were highlighted. The villagers present were motivated to keep their surroundings clean and contribute to environmental protection by giving the message of “Cleanliness is Service”. On this occasion, the representatives of the organization gave information to the villagers about their fundamental rights and free legal aid. Also informed about the process of protecting the rights of women, children and weaker sections of the society and availing the benefits of government welfare schemes.
