Cloud-raining mountains of thrill, if you make this mistake before buying a ticket, it is dangerous!

drizzling rain A smoky cloud drifts through the pine forest. The cold bites when the window is opened. Amazing form of nature. Monsoon mountains like a magical fairy tale! Many people do not want to stay at home in this season. There is a different thrill in running to the mountains to see the hidden rain clouds. However, this joy can turn into sadness in an instant if there is no proper preparation. The mountains are as beautiful as they are dangerous in the monsoons. The risk of collapse or Harpa Ban cannot be ruled out. So keep some things in mind before buying a ticket? Here are some important tips.

(1) Waterproof Backpack: The backpack must be waterproof while hiking in the mountains. If clothes and important documents get wet, the whole trip will be ruined.

(2) Synthetic clothing: Cotton clothes are difficult to dry in monsoon. So carry lightweight, synthetic and quick-dry clothing. The weight of the bag will also decrease.

(3) Monsoons and Windcheaters: Not an umbrella, the mountains need a good raincoat. Carry a ‘heavy duty’ raincoat or windproof jacket that can handle the wind and rain.

(4) Proper footwear: There is a fear of slipping on hilly roads. So choose waterproof shoes with good grip. Improper footwear increases the risk of accidents.

(5) Keep documents safe: Always keep phone, camera, money and important documents in a plastic ziplock bag. Even if water gets into the bags, they will be protected.

(6) Medicines and repellents: In the monsoons, mosquitoes and insect infestations increase in the mountains. So carry mosquito repellent cream or spray. Don’t forget to take fever, cold, stomach medicine and first aid box.

(7) Weather forecast: Keep an eye on local weather reports before departure and at every moment of the trip. Better to change plans if there is a warning of heavy rain.

(8) Avoid your car: Driving in rain on mountain roads is very dangerous. Even a familiar road looks unfamiliar in a landslide or fog. So trust an experienced local driver instead of your own car.

Nature’s call is hard to ignore. But give equal importance to safety as well as thrill. A little precaution will make your hill trip during the rainy season a sweet memory to remember for a lifetime.
