CM Yogi attacks Rahul Gandhi for insulting Indian tradition and Parliament India and abroad

Lucknow, 24 August 2026: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched fierce attacks on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. While replying to a statement given by Rahul Gandhi in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said, “You comment on Manu or on Ram. If you want to understand Manu, read Atharva Veda. When you insult the institutions of India and the Prime Minister, you are actually insulting the institutions of India itself.”

CM Yogi had further alleged that Congress has looted the entire country. He had said, “You did not create India, you divided India. Congress has always insulted the freedom fighters of India.” Reacting to Rahul Gandhi's statement, CM Yogi had said, “I was also recently reading a statement by Rae Bareli MP Rahul Gandhi. He had given this statement in Maharashtra, in which he had said that women should break the bondage of Manusmriti and come out. In the form of Rahul Gandhi, the country does not expect anything big from you.”

He had added, “Your role as 'Leader of Opposition' in the Supreme Panchayat of the Indian Parliament determines the responsibility towards the democracy of the country. You have taken oath on the Constitution of India and by taking the oath, it is not your birth right to curse the tradition and heritage of India.” Taking a dig at the Congress party, CM Yogi said, “When you go out of Uttar Pradesh, you defame and insult UP. When you go out of India, you insult India. When the Indian Army is fighting against enemies on the borders, you go to the army and ask for proof. You directly or indirectly encourage the anti-national elements in the fight against terrorism. Your party raises questions on the existence of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya and What is your loyalty towards democracy? This country has seen it in the crisis of 1975.
