CM Yogi gave relief: Great news to these teachers of UP
Lucknow. Relief news has emerged for teachers of council schools in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has shown a positive attitude regarding the service security of teachers affected by the mandatory TET (Teacher Eligibility Test). After the meeting with the teacher delegation, it has been indicated that the government is seriously considering protecting the interests of long-serving teachers.
During the meeting with the Chief Minister, the delegation demanded to keep in mind the experience and contribution of teachers. On this, the Chief Minister assured that the experience of teachers serving for years will not be ignored and necessary steps will be taken to ensure their service security.
Initiative towards solution on Tet dispute
There is a situation of crisis in the jobs of many teachers due to the mandatory TET. Regarding this issue, the delegation presented before the Chief Minister the suggestion of giving weightage on the basis of service period and finding a solution under special arrangement. It was also demanded that a separate departmental examination or alternative arrangements should be made for the affected teachers, so that their services can be protected.
Expressed gratitude on cashless medical scheme
During the meeting, the teacher delegation also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the cashless medical scheme launched for teachers, Shikshamitras, instructors and cooks. This is being seen as a big relief for the employees associated with the education sector.
Concern increased after court order
Recently, after an order of the Supreme Court, there was a situation of uncertainty regarding the future of many teachers. In such a situation, the delegation placed this issue before the government and demanded an early solution. The Chief Minister said that the government has already filed a review petition in this matter and is continuously making efforts to protect the interests of teachers.
Discussion on the issue of ad-hoc teachers also
The issue of ad-hoc teachers appointed after the year 2000 was also discussed in the meeting. The delegation suggested that necessary amendments be made in the policy to retain such teachers in their present posts, so that their service is not interrupted.

MLC Devendra Pratap Singh, who attended the meeting, said that the atmosphere of the meeting was completely positive. The government is seriously listening to the problems of teachers and soon concrete steps can be taken towards proper solution.
