In order to connect the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh with the mainstream of development, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a historic and very big gift to the international tourist destination Kushinagar. Giving new impetus to the development of the district, CM Yogi has laid the foundation stone and inaugurated a total of 464 development projects. After the implementation of these schemes costing crores of rupees, not only will the roads of Kushinagar appear shining like butter, but the entire district will be illuminated with uninterrupted electric light. This step of the government will prove to strengthen the local infrastructure as well as promote tourism globally.
Roads of Kushinagar will be rejuvenated: Excellent connectivity will be available from villages to highways.
Under this bumper gift, the biggest focus has been on improving the road network of the district. Plans include construction of new roads and widening and strengthening of old roads to connect rural areas with main roads and national highways. With the construction of pothole-free and wide roads, the journey of local traders, farmers and general public will become very easy. Additionally, the improved roads will also provide a world-class and comfortable travel experience to international and domestic Buddhist tourists visiting Kushinagar, thereby creating new local employment opportunities.
Will get relief from electricity crisis forever: Green signal to new power sub-stations
Several major projects related to the energy sector have been flagged off to ensure uninterrupted power supply to Kushinagar along with roads. The work of setting up new power sub-stations and increasing the capacity of old transformers in various blocks of the district will be completed expeditiously. Strengthening the electricity system will not only provide great relief to the local citizens in the scorching heat, but will also provide ample electricity to agriculture and small and medium industries (MSMEs) in rural areas, which will become the main basis for the economic development of the area.
Big message from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath: “Kushinagar is the place of Lord Buddha’s Mahaparinirvana and has diplomatic and cultural credibility all over the world. Our government is committed to the all-round development of this holy land without any discrimination. These 464 projects will prove to be a milestone in providing local employment to the youth of Kushinagar, increasing the income of farmers and making the life of every citizen easier. Purvanchal is now free from backwardness and is becoming a new model of development.”
Tourism and local employment will get a huge boost: Geography of Purvanchal will change
From the geographical and local point of view, Kushinagar International Airport has been shining on the global stage ever since it became operational. Now with the arrival of these new infrastructure projects, the hotel industry, local handicrafts and tourism sector will get a new boost. Local residents of Tier-2 and Tier-3 rural areas like Kasaya, Padrauna, Hata, Tamkuhiraj and Khadda have welcomed this move of the government whole-heartedly. Through these projects, tap water scheme for every house and upgradation of health centers are also being completed, due to which Kushinagar is now fully prepared to join the ranks of the most modern and developed districts of Uttar Pradesh.
