Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath showered flowers of devotion on devotees of Bhole Baba in Meerut on the tenth day of the month of Shravan. Along with the Gorakshapeethadhiswar, public representatives, including Meerut MP Arun Govil, who played Lord Ram in the Ramayana serial, showered rose petals on Shiva devotees and Kanwar pilgrims, honoring the faith.
Along the entire Kanwar route, flowers were showered on Shiva devotees from helicopters. On this occasion, the entire western Uttar Pradesh region reverberated with the chants of “Har Har, Bam Bam” from the Kanwar pilgrims. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the Kanwar Yatra as a unique example of devotion, dedication, social and national unity, and harmony.
On behalf of the state government, he welcomed and greeted all Shiva devotees and Kanwar pilgrims. Before arriving at the venue, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath observed the Kanwar Yatra from a helicopter.
He paid tribute to the devotion of devotees of Bhole Baba who had come from various parts of the state and directed the administrative officials to maintain proper arrangements for the regular security, respect, facilities etc. of the Kanwar pilgrims. The entire western Uttar Pradesh reverberated with the chants of Har Har Bam Bam by the Kanwar pilgrims who had set out to perform Jalabhishek at Shiva temples carrying holy Ganga water.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath showered flowers on devotees of Bholenath, making them realize that this is a government that respects faith. In the tableau taken out during the Kanwar Yatra, ‘Baba’s followers’ were seen immersed in the joy of Bholenath in various forms. Some were dancing in the procession of Lord Bholenath, while others were showing devotion towards the Shiva family in the form of Kartikeya and Ganesh. Baba’s followers also rode on the chariot in the form of ghosts and spirits.
Songs like ‘Those who have brought Ram, we will bring them’ were saffronizing the entire atmosphere. All the devotees and common people present here were also seen capturing this moment of faith, enthusiasm and excitement on their mobile phones. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while talking to the journalists, said that the holy Kanwar Yatra is moving towards its peak in the month of Shravan. Shiva devotees, Kanwar Yatra pilgrims, are moving rapidly towards carrying Ganga water from Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar and performing Jalabhishek in the holy Shiva temples.
The Chief Minister reported that a large crowd of devotees also gathered at Shiv Chowk in Muzaffarnagar. In Meerut, he and public representatives had the opportunity to shower flowers on the Kanwar Yatra pilgrims. In western Uttar Pradesh, at the Baba Auhadnath Temple in Meerut, the Baba Dudheshwar Nath Temple in Ghaziabad, and the Pura Mahadev Temple in Baghpat, as well as millions of Shiva devotees from Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh, participated in the Kanwar Yatra with devotion and enthusiasm.
CM Yogi said that we are all fully prepared to welcome and protect the Kanwar pilgrims. Devotees of Shiva, walking hundreds of kilometers with reverence for the Supreme God, Mahadev, are presenting a living example of devotion, dedication, social and national unity, and harmony. Transcending the boundaries of caste, region, and province, their every breath is dedicated to Shiva.
The Chief Minister said that there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement here. The administration has meticulously arranged security arrangements. The district administration, sector magistrates, joint magistrates, police officers, zone, range, district, and police station levels, as well as numerous police officers, are also participating in the campaign with devotion and ensuring security. Social workers and charitable organizations are focusing on the faith and convenience of Kanwar pilgrims through camps at various locations.
The CM also expressed his gratitude to all these organizations. Describing this as the pinnacle of devotion, the CM said that Kanwar pilgrims will be showered with flowers from helicopters today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow (Shivratri). The CM prayed to Lord Mahadev, the Supreme God, to fulfill the wishes of Shiva devotees participating in the Kanwar Yatra during the month of Shravan and to continue to bestow his blessings to create an atmosphere of happiness, peace, and harmony in the state and country.
