Meerut. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath showered flowers on Kanwar pilgrims who had come to Meerut on Saturday to perform Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva in the holy month of Shravan. During this, in his address, he said that today I got the opportunity to shower flowers on Shiv devotees Kanwar pilgrims in Meerut district. Lakhs of Shiv devotees from various states including Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh have become a part of this holy journey. Hearty welcome and congratulations to all Kanwar pilgrims from the Uttar Pradesh government! We are fully prepared for your service and safety.
He further said, “Kanwar pilgrims, walking hundreds of kilometers with their devotion to the Supreme God, Mahadev, are setting an example of dedication that strengthens the spirit of social equality and national unity. Rising above the boundaries of caste, creed, state, and region, Shiva devotees are moving forward with faith and dedication to merge with Shiva with every breath, with the name of Shiva and the spirit of ‘Shivo Bhootva Shivam Yajet’.”
The Chief Minister said, “The administration has made elaborate security arrangements for the Shiva devotees, Kanwar pilgrims. Along with the district administration, sector magistrates, zonal magistrates, and all police personnel, from zone, range, district, circle, and police station areas to the beat level, are participating in this campaign with full devotion and are providing all kinds of security to the Kanwar pilgrims.”
