Along with the increase in honorarium, it has now been announced to provide Rs 500 for an additional saree, cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per year for the family and smartphones to Anganwadi workers. This means that Anganwadi workers and assistants will not only get the benefit of increase in honorarium, but many other facilities are also being provided by the government.
First of all, let's talk about honorarium, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced to increase the honorarium of Anganwadi workers from Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000 per month, while the honorarium of Anganwadi and helpers has been increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 per month, that is, the workers will get Rs 4,000 more every month, while the helpers will get Rs 2,000 more. About 3 lakh 28 thousand Anganwadi workers and assistants of the state will benefit from this. Along with this, big information has also come to light regarding sarees, Rs 29 crore 11 lakh has been transferred to the accounts of 2 lakh 91 thousand 162 Anganwadi workers and helpers for sarees through DBT.
Earlier, Anganwadi workers and helpers used to get money for two sarees, but now one additional saree has also been included in it. For this additional saree, Rs 500 extra will be given, that is, now Anganwadi workers and helpers will get additional financial assistance for saree as compared to before, apart from this, it has also been announced to provide cashless treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh every year for Anganwadi workers, helpers and their families, meaning in case of illness or treatment, the family will be able to get the facility of cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh every year. Not only this, an announcement has also been made to provide smartphones to further improve the Anganwadi system.
At the same time, appointment letters were also given to the newly appointed Anganwadi workers and assistants in the Anganwadi felicitation ceremony organized in Ayodhya. According to Women and Child Welfare Minister Baby Rani Maurya, recently 71 thousand 310 Anganwadi workers and assistants have been recruited in the state. These include 21 thousand 804 Anganwadi workers and 49 thousand 506 assistants. In the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself handed over appointment letters to some newly appointed Anganwadi and assistants. While appointment letters have been distributed parallelly in the rest of the districts, meritorious children and excellent supervisors are also being honored in the programme. That is, overall, this program has brought many big gifts for the Anganwadi workers and assistants of UP, increased honorarium, Rs 500 for extra saree, cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, announcement of smartphones and appointment letters to thousands of newly appointed people, these decisions are being considered as a big step towards the economic empowerment and respect of Anganwadi workers and assistants.
