‘Cockroaches created a stir…’ Prakash Raj and Sonam Wangchuk’s big statement on Jantar Mantar protest, gave ultimatum to the government

The anger of the youth of the country regarding the NEET paper leak and irregularities in the national level examinations is now clearly visible beyond the walls of social media and on the streets. On Saturday, June 6, 2026, a very unique and peaceful movement was seen at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, which surprised everyone. The demonstration was organized under the banner of ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP), in which a large number of students, youth and their parents came from across the country to participate. The agitators had only one main demand – Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should immediately resign from his post.

The movement that started with satire has now become a mass movement.

‘Cockroach Janata Party’, which initially started as a humorous satire on social media, has now become a huge political and social movement of Gen-Z i.e. today’s young generation. CJP founder Abhijit Dipke, who was pursuing his studies in the US, returned to India on Saturday morning specifically to lead the movement.

After getting permission from Delhi Police, the protest started at Jantar Mantar, where the youth raised their voice in a very disciplined and peaceful manner wearing cockroach masks, carrying colorful posters, national flag and books in their hands.

Got huge support from Bollywood and social workers

This movement is getting full support not only from the students of the country but also from many big and well-known personalities. Well-known education reformer and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk herself personally participated in the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar on Saturday and encouraged the youth. Apart from this, Bollywood actors like Richa Chadha and Atul Kulkarni appealed to take this campaign forward through social media.

Veteran actor Prakash Raj and Bigg Boss fame Kunika Sadanand were also expected to attend the performance, but they could not come to Delhi due to being busy with their pre-fixed shooting schedule. Feeling missed by the fans on social media, Prakash Raj wholeheartedly appreciated CJP’s fight and while sharing the post on X (Twitter) wrote:

"I tried my best to be there and show my full support, but could not due to prior work commitments. I have always stood strongly with this movement. I was very happy that our cockroaches made a splash there. Dear Sonam Wangchuk, thank you very much for reaching out to the youth. There can be no one better than you for the future of our education system."

Celebrities involved in the movement and their stance

Let us briefly understand from the table given below, what is the stand of each celebrity in this campaign to save the education system of the country:

Government gets new ultimatum of 7 days: what next?

Cockroach Janata Party had earlier given time till 5 pm on Saturday to the government and the education department. But even after the deadline, when there was no response from Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan regarding the resignation, the organization has toughened its stand.

In a press conference held after the conclusion of the protest, the official spokespersons of CJP appealed to the Central Government New ultimatum of 7 days Has been released. The party clearly says that whatever was seen at Jantar Mantar on Saturday was just a ‘trailer’. If the Education Minister is not removed from his post or resigns honorably within the next 7 days, this student movement will be widely spread across the country at district and state levels. Amidst the NEET exam controversy, the entire country’s eyes are now on this unique movement.
