Comedian Pranit More in trouble for his shameful statement, big action on the statement regarding biryani
Now the action has intensified regarding the shameful statement of ‘370 rupees biryani’ in the show of stand up comedian Pranit More. Now the National Commission for Women (NCW) has also come into action regarding this matter. The Women’s Commission has ordered the DGP of Haryana to take action in this matter. Also, comedian Pranit More and Himanshu Jangra, who talked about 370 biryani, have been summoned. Both of them have been called by the Women’s Commission on June 22. The clip of Pranit More’s show which is going viral, was held in Gurugram. In the same show, Himanshu Jangra had given the statement ‘Biryani of Rs 370’. This statement went viral on social media and people expressed their displeasure over it.
Attempt to weaken the dignity of women
Now National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar has ordered Haryana DGP to take action on this matter. Taking suo motu cognizance of that viral video, the Women’s Commission said that the manner in which the alleged conduct was normalized and presented to the people as entertainment is condemnable.
The Commission said that such behavior undermines the consent and dignity of women and can have adverse consequences for women’s safety and social outlook.
Order to Haryana DGP
Women Commission has asked Haryana DGP to take immediate and strict action on this matter. The Commission has also sought an Action Taken Report (ATR) on the case within seven days. The Commission has also sought information about the role of the show’s organizer, artists and management when the FIR is registered under the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Apart from this, the Commission has also sought answers from the police on what steps are being taken to ensure that public platforms and digital spaces are not used for sexual harassment, coercion or to promote or normalize such conduct.
Pranit More and Himanshu Jangra summoned
Considering the seriousness of this matter, the National Commission for Women has issued a notice to Pranit More and Himanshu Jangra and ordered them to appear before the Commission on June 22 at 4 pm.
