New prices of commercial cylinders in metros

According to the new rates issued by the government oil companies, the price of commercial cylinder in the country’s capital Delhi has been increased by ₹ 42, due to which now this cylinder will be available in Delhi for ₹ 3,113.50. On the other hand, the highest increase of ₹ 53.50 has been seen in the price of commercial cylinder in Kolkata. Apart from this, companies have also increased the prices of small cylinders for commercial use by ₹ 11 per cylinder.

Why did the prices increase?

According to market experts, due to the ongoing geopolitical tension in the Middle East and the global oil-gas crisis, the prices of crude oil and LPG are continuously increasing in the international market. The effect of this increasing input cost is also being seen on the Indian market. Although the household budget is safe due to the stable price of domestic gas (14.2 kg), but due to increase in the price of commercial gas, the business of hotels, restaurants, dhabas and catering will become more expensive. It is being estimated that eating out and tiffin services may become expensive in the coming days.
