An challan of Rs 1.5 lakh arrived one year after returning from a Switzerland trip, know what happened to the Indian woman
Switzerland Traffic Laws: Traveling abroad is a golden memory in everyone’s life. In which you experience beautiful places, new culture and moments full of adventure. But if you are not aware of the local rules of that country, then this memorable journey can also prove costly. Something similar happened with an Indian female tourist when she traveled to Switzerland about a year ago and later she had to pay a traffic challan of about Rs 1.5 lakh.
One small mistake and huge fine
It is being said in the viral information on social media that the woman had gone to Switzerland and during this trip she unknowingly broke a traffic rule. At that time the woman did not even know that she had committed any mistake nor was any kind of fine taken from her on the spot. But now Switzerland’s digital traffic monitoring system had recorded the rule violation. After which the concerned authorities issued a challan in the name of the woman and sent it to her address.
Notice received after one year
The most surprising thing about this challan is that this challan did not come immediately but this notice was given to the woman for almost a year. The woman was shocked to see the challan increasing to Rs 1.5 lakh after a year. But it was interesting that this incident revealed that in many developed countries, records of traffic rules are kept safe for years and despite the time taken for action, fines can be imposed.
Why are the rules so strict in Switzerland?
If we talk about Switzerland, it is included in those countries of the world where traffic rules are followed very strictly. In which high-tech cameras, sensors and digital surveillance systems installed on the roads in their country keep a complete eye on the activities of every vehicle. In which exceeding the speed limit, wrong parking or violating traffic signals are serious crimes. Not only this, it has also been seen that in many cases the fine is so high that people even face financial shock.

Keep these things in mind before going abroad
After looking into this matter, experts say that before traveling to any country, it is important for safety to know about the traffic rules and local laws of that country. Apart from this, in many European countries there is no relaxation in the rules and the same laws apply to tourists as to local citizens.
