Glasgow: India’s impressive performance in boxing at the Commonwealth Games ended with 7 gold and 3 silver medals. Preeti Pawar, Jasmine Lamboria, Sakshi Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas, Arundhati Chaudhary, Sachin Siwach and Ankush Panghal topped the medals table, while Jadumani Singh, Lovlina Borgohain and Narendra Berwal won silver medals in their respective weight categories.
India finished first and second in the men’s F57 shot put event, with Soman Rana winning the gold and Shubham Juyal the silver. In the men’s triple jump event, Praveen Chitravel won the silver and Selva Prabhu Thirumaran the bronze. Judoist Unnati Sharma also won the bronze.
