Complete these important tasks before June 30; LPG e-KYC to ITR, rules to change from July 1

Mumbai : June 30, 2026 is going to be a very important date for common citizens, employees, professionals and taxpayers. Because some important financial and administrative rules are going to change from 1st July 2026. Therefore, if some of the required works are not completed before June 30, there may be financial loss, fines or difficulties in getting the benefits of government schemes.

Complete LPG e-KYC, otherwise subsidy off will be?

Completion of e-KYC is important for consumers using LPG gas cylinders. Especially if beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) do not e-KYC in time, gas subsidy is likely to be stopped.

Customers can complete e-KYC at home by visiting their gas agency or through the official online facility.

Important date in respect of ITR

Although the deadline for filing Income Tax Return (ITR) for the financial year 2025-26 is July 31, 2026, after June 30, some processes of the tax department may start fast. Hence it is essential for taxpayers to prepare the necessary documents, form 16, TDS details and other tax related information in time.

Also keep an eye on LPG cylinder rates

New LPG cylinder rates are announced on the first day of every month. Due to the recent price hike, the possibility of a major change in domestic cylinder prices from July 1 is considered to be low. However, the rates may change as per the decision of the oil companies.
