Tezzbuzz Desk- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's proposed 'Students' Echo' program in Indore on September 12 is still in confusion. The program is to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, but there is a problem regarding permission to use the stadium. On this issue, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari has written a letter to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav demanding to provide the stadium.
Jitu Patwari said in a letter to the Chief Minister that this program of Rahul Gandhi is not just a political event. This is a public dialogue focused on important issues like the future of the country, dreams of the youth, right to education and security of the education system. Patwari said that the government should keep in mind the spirit, utility of the program and its larger social and national importance. He also said that Rahul Gandhi holds the constitutional post of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and making Nehru Stadium available for his interaction with students and youth would be in keeping with the importance of the programme.
Demand to give instructions to officials
The Congress State President has urged the Chief Minister to take immediate cognizance of the entire matter and issue necessary instructions to the concerned officials. He says that this will pave the way for organizing 'Students' Echo' program at Nehru Stadium.
Clash between Congress and Municipal Corporation regarding permission
At the same time, Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava says that there is a clear order of the High Court regarding Nehru Stadium. Under this, only permission can be given to organize sports activities or state level government programs in the stadium.
City Congress President Chintu Choukse has also warned of agitation in this matter. He said that Congress will agitate if Rahul Gandhi's program is not allowed to be organized in the stadium.
Preparation to mobilize 50 thousand students
Congress is preparing to mobilize about 50 thousand students from Indore and surrounding areas in the 'Students' Echo' program. This is the student dialogue campaign of Congress, under which programs are being organized in different cities of the country.
Through this campaign, Congress is trying to corner the BJP government by raising issues like paper leak, expensive education, irregularities in government recruitments and unemployment.
