Construction of 6-lane road accelerated in Bihar, good news for these districts

Patna. Another big step has been taken towards strengthening the road network in Bihar. The proposed 6-lane road project from Chandni Chowk to Bakhri in Muzaffarpur district is now going to progress rapidly. This work, which was stalled for a long time due to land and technical constraints, has now reached the final stage of preparation. This project will not only ease traffic but will also directly benefit many nearby districts.

After construction of 6-lane road, the problem of traffic jam on this route will be eliminated to a great extent. People will get the facility of easy and fast transportation. Besides, business, employment and urban development in the surrounding areas are also expected to get new momentum.

Land disputes and obstacles almost over

The biggest hurdle in this project was the shortage of land, due to which the construction work was stalled for the last few months. Now, due to the activeness of the district administration, the required land has been identified in Kanti, Gaighat, Bochahan, Sahebganj and Paru areas, paving the way for taking the project forward.

Process of tree relocation expedited

For road widening, it was necessary to remove about 80 trees. For this, the Forest Department had demanded about eight and a half hectares of land. Now the process of shifting trees is being started rapidly, which is expected to speed up the construction work.

Possibility of getting NOC from Forest Department soon

All the necessary documents and reports related to land are being uploaded on the online portal by the Road Construction Department. After this, the shifting work of trees will be started as soon as the process of getting permission (NOC) from the Forest Department is completed.

This road will be constructed at a cost of Rs 80 crore

Around Rs 80 crore will be spent on this 6-lane road project. This road connects to Darbhanga NH, which further increases its strategic and economic importance. This ambitious road project had received approval from the cabinet after the Pragati Yatra of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Keeping it in the priority list, the government has set a target to complete it expeditiously.
