During this, he slapped a young man present there. It is alleged that after this the minister's security guard pushed the young man away from there.
It was told that Pravesh Verma had come to inspect the road under construction. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Jarnail Singh also reached the spot and started raising questions about the quality of the road. During this there was an argument between the two. According to AAP, meanwhile, Pravesh Verma slapped the young man who was recording the video of the incident.
The political controversy increased after the video of the incident surfaced. AAP MLA Jarnail Singh alleged that people are now being beaten up for asking questions to the minister. He said that he will file a complaint against Parvesh Verma in Vikaspuri police station in this matter.
Reposting the video, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also demanded the arrest of Pravesh Verma. He posted on X that he would visit the spot the next day.
AAP state president Saurabh Bhardwaj also condemned the incident. While sharing the video on X, he alleged that Parvesh Verma slapped a cameraman. Bhardwaj said it was inappropriate to raise hands on a person under police protection and termed it as shameful behaviour.
