The brand issued a statement on its official Instagram account saying that it fully respects Indian culture, traditions and festivals. The company said that its aim was to spread the joy of Rakshabandhan to families as well as pets.
GIVA said in its statement that if the recent advertisement has inadvertently hurt the sentiments of any section of the society, then it had no such intention. Respecting the sentiments of the people, the brand has decided to withdraw the advertisement from all platforms.
Kriti Sanon replied after trolling
After the trolling regarding the advertisement, Kriti Sanon also responded to the critics through her Instagram story. He raised the question when will women stop being told what they should wear.
Kriti had said that Indian culture and traditions lie in the heart of a person, not in the neckline of clothes. He also defended the scene of tying Rakhi to the dog.
According to the actress, Rakshabandhan is a festival of promises and prayers for safety and for her, this promise of safety also extends to her pet dogs, as they are also a part of the family.
Kangana Ranaut also raised questions
Bollywood actress and MP Kangana Ranaut also gave her reaction in this controversy. He had taken a dig at the advertisement through Instagram story. Kangana called it 'deliberately strange' and said that the dignity and simplicity of Indian festivals should not be spoiled in the name of modernity.
