Antigua and Barbuda Falcons won the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title for the first time after defeating tournament debutants Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets in the final in Bridgetown.
The Falcons chased down a target of 171 with 20 balls to spare to finish a memorable campaign in just their third season in the competition.
Amir Jangoo and Hasan Nawaz guided the Falcons to victory with an unbeaten 89-run partnership, while Sufyan Moqim's outstanding bowling performance helped restrict the Kingsmen to 170/9.
Despite a spectacular century from Maaz Sadaqat, Jamaica Kingsmen couldn't prevent the Falcons from lifting their first CPL trophy.

Despite early setbacks, losing Kirk McKenzie for a duck in the opening over and Keacy Carty for nine, Jamaica Kingsmen could stabilize their innings as Sadaqat and Saim Ayub shared an 80-run partnership to take the score from 30/2 to 110/2.
The Falcons got back into the hunt as Sufyan Moqim picked two wickets in the 12th over, removing Ayub and Rovman Powell.
The chase by Jamaica Kingsmen went into total collapse as they lost from 110/2 to 113/6 in a space of three overs, with Sadaqat continuing to hammer the bowling attack.

Sadaqat played a stunning innings of 114 from 58 balls, which had a staggering nine sixes and eight fours in it and accounted for more than half the runs, as the Kingsmen could only make a total of 170/9, with 29 runs coming from Saim Ayub, who was the only other batsman in double figures.
Moqim reaped the rich rewards with figures of 4/14 as Falcons reached a comfortable victory.

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons richly started their chase as Rahkeem Cornwall smashed 20 runs from the opening over before he was removed. Evin Lewis and Amir Jangoo added 64 runs for the second wicket before Lewis was out for 38, with Nawaz and Jangoo ensuring that there were no more scares.
Jangoo remained not out at 57 while Nawaz remained unbeaten on 47 as the Falcons made a total of 171/2 with 20 deliveries left to win, which they did with an eight-wicket haul.
Shadab Khan has been named the Most CPL Valuable Player for his strong contributions with both bat and ball during the league. The Pakistan all-rounder made 132 runs and took 11 wickets in the competition.
