Its effect is visible on major tourist and religious places of Uttarakhand. There are long queues of vehicles on Mussoorie, Nainital and Kedarnath routes and at many places people are stuck in traffic jams for hours.
The traffic condition in Mussoorie is bad from Dehradun to different parts of the city. Traffic has slowed down due to the large number of vehicles arriving on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road. Many tourists got stuck in traffic even before reaching Mussoorie. Local people are also facing this traffic problem. Every long weekend, Mussoorie faces traffic problems due to the large number of tourists arriving there. This time also the same situation persists. Seeing the beautiful pictures and videos of the mountains on social media, a large number of people have set out to visit.
The situation is no different in Nainital also. Due to its proximity to Delhi-NCR, a large number of tourists have reached here. There are long queues of vehicles at many places on the city roads. Women and small children are also stuck in the jam for hours. At the same time, the crowd of devotees has increased on Kedarnath road also. Long queues of vehicles are visible after the parking is completely filled in Sitapur and Sonprayag. Rudraprayag Police is also on alert in view of the possibility of further increase in the number of devotees in the coming days.
The police have appealed to the devotees and tourists to keep taking updates related to traffic and parking arrangements before the journey and follow the guidelines issued by the police administration.
