He also suggested that the investigation should not be limited to only short videos circulated on social media. The entire video footage, events and related circumstances related to the incident should also be investigated, so that conclusions can be drawn based on the facts.
The officer said that he would complain in his personal capacity.

Citing their commitment to the Constitution, the rule of law and the dignity and safety of women, they have appealed to the concerned authorities for an impartial investigation. Their complaint emphasizes that the authenticity of the video and the actual context of the incident should be confirmed before reaching any conclusion in the matter.
Demand for action if allegations are found true
Rahul Solanki has mentioned two possible situations in the complaint. In the first situation, if the allegations of misbehavior with women protesters are found to be true during the investigation, then legal and departmental action should be taken as per rules against the responsible policemen, security forces personnel and concerned supervisory officers.
In the second situation, if the videos are found to be fake or tampered at a significant level, then appropriate action should be taken as per law and necessary steps should be taken to remove the misleading content.
Questions on security and human rights during the demonstration
After this complaint, questions have been raised regarding the safety of women protesters, role of police and adherence to human rights during the demonstration. Filing of complaint in the matter is not in itself a confirmation of the allegations. Verification of the video, investigation of available evidence and statement of the concerned parties will be important to clarify the real situation. Now, what steps are taken by the concerned commissions and Delhi Police on the complaint will be monitored.
