RCB played ‘Dosa-Idli-Sambhar-Chutney’ The song enraged Chennai, complaint to BCCI, know the whole matter

Chinnaswamy Stadium DJ Controversy: Chennai Super Kings have filed a complaint with the Board of Control for Cricket in India regarding a song played and related comments during the match played against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 5 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

CSK say it was not appropriate to play songs like “Dosa, Idli, Sambar, Chutney” before the start of their innings. According to the Indian Express report, a senior IPL official has confirmed that the Governing Council will investigate the matter. According to the official, a complaint has been received from CSK and action is being taken on it.

Allegation of remarks against CSK players

CSK Managing Director Kasi Vishwanathan said that usually the job of a DJ is to cheer for the home team, but the situation was different at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. According to him, some comments were also made against CSK players, due to which the franchise has written a letter to BCCI demanding an investigation into the matter.

What is the whole controversy?

This song is related to an old incident. It started when RCB shared a video of their wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma before a match in Chennai, in which he was seen singing “Dosa, Idli, Sambhar, Chutney”. After this, CSK fans trolled him and CSK’s DJ also played the same song when he was out during the match in Chepauk. After this incident, CSK management had given clear instructions to its DJ to avoid making fun of the opposing team or players.

Objection to comments also

Franchise officials say the comments made by the DJ over the public address system when their players were out in the April 5 match were also objectionable. He believes that the job of a DJ is only to create a positive atmosphere and not to humiliate the opposing team.
