Current Affairs: Condition, direction and impact of ‘Cockroach’ movement

Cockroach Janata Party’s demonstration took place in Delhi, but after this demonstration the question has arisen that what will be the future strategy of Cockroach Janata Party? The crowd in this demonstration was not in proportion to the support that Cockroach Janata Party had received on social media, although a large number of YouTubers had also come along with the youth angry with the system. Youth from the student wing of leftist parties also reached there. The protest was ended with a promise to gather again the following Saturday.
There is an emotional connect with the Cockroach Janata Party among the youth and other people angry with the education system, but can any movement be successful only with emotional connect? There should be a clear strategy and clear ideology to take any movement forward and reach its objective? Right now the Cockroach Janata Party seems to be lacking that clear strategy and ideology. The question is also whether any clear action plan will be made to take this movement forward in future?
Any movement can neither be established nor last long without dedication, sacrifice and tenacity. Commenting on social media is one thing and continuously participating and sweating in a movement is another. No movement can run with the help of social media alone. This is the reason why the youth could not gather at Jantar Mantar with the enthusiasm and proportion in which they joined this movement on social media. A crowd definitely gathered at Jantar Mantar, but even that crowd cannot be called very positive in terms of numbers. Abhijeet Deepke and his three spokespersons left the protest site at 3 o’clock and the youth who came there continued to feel cheated.
The youth are disappointed with the irregularities in NEET and other examinations. The youth are angry with this entire system, but no system changes just by being angry and displaying that anger. What is needed is to move in the right direction for a long time. Will this movement also be able to move in the right direction or will this movement be captured by some people. Sometimes such movements create a fake buzz.
We all have seen the condition of Anna movement. At that time Anna Hazare was being called today’s Gandhi. Later, the people who gave direction to the Anna movement started pursuing their own interests, that is why the movements which appear to us to be very honest on the surface, are sometimes not that honest. By saying this I am not questioning the sentiment behind this movement. Maybe the spirit of this movement is right, but will the spirit of this movement remain true and honest in future also. At present, there seems to be a lack of any clear ideology in this movement.
Will this movement be able to develop any clear ideology of its own? Many times, some superficial things arise out of anger. It cannot be said right now whether this movement is superficial or not, but it is certain that if this movement does not move in the right direction, then this movement will definitely prove to be superficial.
