26-year-old Sachin Siwach was one of ten Indian boxers to qualify for the final of the 2026 Commonwealth Games. He competed in the men’s 60 kg category. Sachin faced no difficulties throughout the Games and consistently reached the final. However, Namibian boxer Trygen Morning made things difficult for him, putting pressure on Sachin after a close first round and winning 3-2.

By the time he was ready to fight again, the third round was over. This single punch sealed Sachin’s lead. He won the round 4-1 and ultimately won the final with an overall score of 3-2, taking home the gold medal.

According to reports, when Sachin’s father took him to the famous Hawa Singh Academy at a young age, coach Sanjay Kumar turned him down, considering him physically weak. However, Sachin made a comeback, and the coach accepted him. Since then, Sachin has been on a steady rise.
