CWG 2026: Jadumani Singh defeats Pakistani boxer 5-0, dedicates victory to the heroes of Kargil

New Delhi: Indian boxer Jadumani Singh performed brilliantly in the Commonwealth Games 2026 and entered the quarter-finals by defeating Pakistan’s Sumama Rehman 5-0 in the men’s 55 kg category. In the entire match, Jadumani displayed aggressive play and strong defense and did not give any chance to the opponent player to make a comeback.

After this victory, he dedicated his success to the martyred heroes of Kargil war and said that now his aim is to win the gold medal for India.

Indian boxer’s dominance visible in all three rounds

From the beginning of the match, Jadumani Singh controlled the match with his sharp punches, excellent footwork and precise strategy. Pakistan’s Sumama Rehman could not find rhythm in the entire match.

All five judges unanimously gave the verdict in favor of Jadumani Singh. In these, three judges declared the Indian boxer the winner with a score of 30-27 and two judges declared him the winner with a score of 29-28.

Jadumani Singh defeated the Pakistani boxer 5-0.

Recorded 5-0 victory for the second consecutive time

Earlier in his opening match also, Jadumani Singh had defeated Scottish boxer Cullen 5-0. By registering one-sided wins in two consecutive matches, he has shown excellent form and strengthened his claim for a medal.

Victory dedicated to the heroes of Kargil Vijay Diwas

Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated across the country on 26th July. After the victory against Pakistan, Jadumani Singh dedicated his victory to the martyrs of Kargil war and said,

“I dedicate this victory to the heroes of Kargil. I felt very happy to win against Pakistan. I will perform even better in the quarter-finals and will try my best to win the gold medal for India.”

Who will compete in the quarter finals?

Now in the quarter-finals Jadumani Singh will face the winner of the match between Zambia and South Africa. This match will be played on July 28 at 7:45 pm local time.

If Jadumani wins this match, he will reach the semi-finals and will be just one step away from a medal. Considering his current performance, Indian fans’ expectations of a gold medal from him have also increased.
