Under the Cyber Sakhi initiative, a scheme has been started to make rural women digitally safe by giving them cyber security training. The program, run in collaboration with Reliance Foundation and C-DAC, aims to protect millions of women from online fraud and cyber threats.
Cyber Sakhi Initiative 2026: Reliance Foundation and C-DAC, under the ISEA program of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, have jointly launched this initiative to make rural women aware of digital security. Its objective is to provide cyber security training to women across the country, starting from Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. In this program, training will be provided through audio-visual and local language based modules, so that women can learn safe digital usage while avoiding online fraud.
What is Cyber Sakhi and how will the program work?
Cyber Sakhi initiative has been launched under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) program of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. In this, C-DAC is preparing training material, which will be made available in local languages.
Reliance Foundation will implement this scheme at the grassroots level. It will start from Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, after which it will be expanded to the entire country. Audio-visual and multi-language modules will be used in the training so that rural women can learn easily.
