Danger looms on Mumbai’s Manori beach! Heavy ship without crew stuck in sea, Coast Guard alert
Mumbai A surprising news has come out from Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. A huge cargo tanker is stuck in the sea near the famous Manori coast in North Mumbai. The most shocking thing is that there is no crew present on this heavy ship. As soon as information about the incident was received, the Indian Coast Guard and Mumbai Police have come on full alert mode and rescue operations have been intensified to bring the situation under control. Three ships got lost in the sea due to bad weather. This entire accident is the result of sudden bad weather in Mumbai. According to official information given by the Coast Guard, an emergency alert was received from the Directorate General of Shipping on July 5. In this alert it was told that due to strong winds and bad weather in the sea, the anchors of three big ships have been dislocated from their place and they have started flowing uncontrollably. The names of these three ships are MT Asphalt Star, MT Stellar Ruby and MT Al Jafjiya. ‘MT Al Jafzia’ stranded just one kilometer away from the coast A Mumbai Police official has confirmed that the ship which is stuck is just one kilometer away from the shore. This ship is MT Al Zafzia, on which no human being or crew member was present at the time of the incident. Without any control, this heavy tanker got stuck very close to Manori beach due to the waves. If it is not evacuated soon, it can cause trouble for the coastal environment and local people. Coast Guard launched special ship for rescue. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the Indian Coast Guard immediately sent its advanced ship ‘ICGS Samrat’ to the spot. The ship is closely inspecting the area and providing necessary technical assistance to rescue the stranded boat. Along with this, to bring the situation under control as soon as possible, the Directorate General of Shipping has also made a special request to deploy ‘ETV Water Lily’ as a backup. The crew members of the remaining two ships are completely safe. The administration has heaved a sigh of relief and said that the other two ships that were victims of anchor breakage – MT Asphalt Star and MT Stellar Ruby – are now completely out of danger. Due to the promptness of the Coast Guard, both these ships have anchored safely again and all the crew members present on them are completely safe. At present, the entire focus of all maritime agencies is on taking the uncrewed MT Al Jafjiya into deep waters.
