The police have made a sensational revelation in the case of murder of a 40-year-old woman in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. It is alleged that the woman's step daughter Unnati along with her lover Akash Chauhan conspired to murder. After the incident, both of them used a car to dispose of the body and threw it near Ganganahar in Mangalore area of Roorkee, about 100 kilometers away. The investigation, which started after the woman's body was found in a sack on the canal bank, led to the accused through CCTV footage and other clues. Police have arrested both of them and have also recovered the car used in the murder.
On Tuesday, people noticed a suspicious sack lying on the bank of the canal near the office of the Irrigation Department in Mangalore Kotwali area. On receiving information, police reached the spot. On opening the sack, the dead body of a woman was found inside it. Seeing the condition of the dead body, the police also called the forensic team on the spot. The team collected necessary evidence from the spot. Initially the woman could not be identified. After this, the police started investigation in the surrounding areas and tried to identify the deceased on the basis of available clues.
Daughter and her lover conspired
When the police investigation progressed, it was found that the deceased was a 40-year-old woman resident of Meerut. After the identity was revealed, the police interrogated his family and acquaintances. Meanwhile, the links of the murder reached his step daughter Unnati and her lover Akash Chauhan. According to the police, both of them had conspired together to murder the woman. After this, a plan was made to take the body away from Meerut and dispose of it.

According to investigation, the accused murdered the woman in the car. After this his head was severed from the body with a sharp weapon. After sealing the body in a sack, both of them took it by car to Mangalore area of Roorkee. It is alleged that both of them threw the body near Ganganahar here and fled from there. The police are now trying to find out when and how the murder conspiracy was hatched and what was the real reason behind the incident.
Police reached the accused through CCTV footage
After finding the body of the woman, the police started scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby. The investigation was taken forward after suspicious activities and clues related to the car were found in the footage. The police also scanned the footage of the possible routes between Meerut and Roorkee. On the basis of this investigation, the police arrested the woman's step daughter Unnati and her lover Akash Chauhan. The police has also recovered the car used in the murder.

SP Dehat Shekhar Chand Suyal said that on the basis of CCTV cameras and clues found in the investigation, the role of the deceased woman's step daughter Unnati and her lover Akash Chauhan has come to light. Both the accused have been arrested. The vehicle used in the murder has also been recovered. Police are now interrogating the accused and gathering information about the reason for the murder, the weapon used in the crime and other aspects related to the incident. It is also being investigated whether any other person apart from the accused was involved in this conspiracy or not. The police is further investigating the case on the basis of evidence and CCTV footage received from the forensic team.
