Delhi government’s initiative, cooling zones will be created at examination centers
Regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), the Delhi government has decided to make special arrangements for the candidates and their parents. In view of the examination to be held on June 21, facilities are being increased at the examination centres. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that for the first time, cooling zones are being created at the examination centers keeping in mind the convenience of not only the candidates but also their parents and family members. Facilities like clean drinking water and shikanji will be provided along with seating arrangements for parents in these cooling zones. The aim of the government is to provide relief to the parents from heat and discomfort during the examination. The Chief Minister said that this arrangement is being made keeping in mind the concerns of the students as well as their family members in an important examination like NEET.

Cockroach Janata Party’s demonstration at Jantar Mantar on June 20
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is once again preparing to protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The party has sought permission from Delhi Police for this. According to the information, this demonstration proposed on June 20 will be the second major demonstration of the party. CJP national spokesperson Saurabh Das said that necessary procedures are being completed regarding the protest. He said that he spent the entire day at the Sansad Marg police station and provided all the information related to the protest to the police officials. He said that all the necessary documents have also been submitted by the party for permission to protest. Now the permission of Delhi Police is awaited.

Slum Rehabilitation Policy 2026 gets final approval
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has said that the Central and Delhi governments have finalized the ‘Delhi Slum and Jhuggi-Jhopri Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy, 2026’. Under this policy, the process of rehabilitation of slums in the capital will be started in a phased manner. According to the Chief Minister, rehabilitation projects will be started for 5 Jhuggi-Jhopri (JJ) clusters in the first phase. The objective of these projects is to provide better housing as well as essential civic amenities to the people living in slum areas. He said that the new rehabilitation colonies will not only have housing facilities, but basic facilities like schools, health centres, playgrounds and Anganwadi centers will also be developed.

Namo Bharat will reach from Har Ki Pauri to Laxman Jhula
Namo Bharat train operating between Delhi and Meerut may soon get extended to the religious city of Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. The process in this direction has accelerated after the agreement between the Central Government, Uttar Pradesh Government, Uttarakhand Government and National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Under the proposed plan, there is a preparation to extend the existing Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor by about 150 kilometers. After this, the journey from Delhi to Rishikesh can be completed in about three hours. This expansion is also considered important for Uttarakhand, because Rishikesh is one of the major religious and tourist centers of the country. The extension of NaMo Bharat Corridor is expected to improve connectivity between Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Important decision of Delhi High Court on removal of private school employee: Delhi High Court has given an important decision in the interest of employees working in private schools. The court has clarified that the order to remove a private school employee from the job without the prior approval of the Director of Education cannot be considered valid. The High Court said that doing so is a violation of Section 8(2) of the Delhi School Education Act, 1973. In its decision, the court has instructed private schools to follow the rules.
