Dholera Rail: Gujarat gets a big gift, the country’s first semi high speed rail will run to this city, the picture of the entire area will change.
The pace of development is expected to increase further after the approval of another big rail project in Gujarat (Dholera Rail). This will be the country’s first semi-high speed rail line, which will connect Sarkhej near Ahmedabad to the emerging industrial city of Dholera. This project is being considered very important from the point of view of future industrial and economic development.
Central government After the approval, work on this ambitious rail corridor will now proceed. The new rail line will also be useful for transporting goods along with passengers. This is expected to directly benefit the Dholera Special Investment Zone, semiconductor industry and other large industrial investments.
Dholera Rail train will run at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour
This railway line to be built from Sarkhej to Dholera will be about 134 kilometers long. The operating speed of the train will be kept at 200 kilometers per hour, while the track will be designed to meet the speed of 220 kilometers per hour. This will be the first such rail project in the country which is being developed as per semi high speed standards.
There will be double line and 13 stations
Double track rail line will be built in this project costing about Rs 20 thousand 667 crore. The total track length will be approximately 293 kilometers and 13 stations will be developed. Apart from this, additional rail connectivity will also be created to Lothal Maritime Heritage Complex and Dholera International Airport.
Big industries will get direct benefits
Dholera is being developed as the country’s first greenfield industrial smart city. Semiconductor, electronics, manufacturing and other modern industries are being established here. Tata Electronics’ semiconductor plant worth about Rs 91 thousand crore is being developed in this area. Along with this, many national and international companies are also preparing to invest.
Road and air connectivity will also be strengthened
The six-lane expressway connecting Dholera to Ahmedabad is almost ready. The first phase of Dholera International Airport is also being developed rapidly and flights are likely to start from here by the end of the year. With the development of rail, road and air connectivity together, this region can become one of the major industrial centers of the country.
Will be a big example of engineering
Under the project, about 74 km long viaduct, three major bridges, 39 road under bridges and two rail over rail crossings will be built. It is being counted among the important projects of Indian Railways with modern technology (Dholera Rail).
Expected to start by 2030
If the construction work is completed on time, then operations on this railway line can be started between 2030 and 2031. After its commencement, along with passengers, industries and goods transportation will also get great facilities and Dholera can make its strong identity among the largest industrial centers of the country.
