District Magistrate gave instructions for timely disposal of pending applications

The meeting of District Level District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC) was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma. In the meeting, a detailed review of the district's banking progress, loan distribution, Credit-Deposit (CD) Ratio and implementation and progress of various government and public welfare schemes was done.

In the meeting, the status of loan distribution, pending applications, acceptance and distribution being made by banks under various government schemes including Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign, One District One Product, Prime Minister Swanidhi Yojana, Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme was reviewed bank wise. Taking information about scheme-wise and bank-wise progress, the District Magistrate gave instructions for timely disposal of pending applications.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate expressed dissatisfaction over the CD ratio of the district and instructed the banks to increase the loan flow and provide loans to as many eligible beneficiaries as possible as per the deposits available in the district. He asked to speed up loan distribution in agriculture, MSME, self-employment and other priority sectors and ensure timely disposal of eligible applications.

The District Magistrate instructed the representatives of SBI, PNB, Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Canara Bank to prepare and submit a continuously monitorable action plan for improving the CD ratio. He said that the concerned banks should clearly mention the target set, proposed loan flow and time bound strategy to achieve the target in their action plan and ensure its regular review.

Chief Development Officer Harshika Singh, Sudhir Kumar Pandey from RBI, DDM NABARD Ms. Shobhana Singh and Leading District Manager Surendra Sankhala along with officials of various banks and related departments were present in the meeting.
