The US President has also shared the information about Levitt's departure on social media. She said Leavitt was leaving so she could spend more time with her family. Levitt, 28, gave birth to a daughter in May. Daughter's name is Viviana. Only last month, Levitt returned to the White House from maternity leave. Trump said in a post on his Truth social platform that Leavitt is the youngest person to serve as White House press secretary when he returns to power in January 2025. Levitt began his career at the White House as a press aide during Trump's first term. She ran for Congress in 2022 as a Republican candidate from New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District, but lost. Leavitt grew up in New Hampshire. His family is Roman Catholic. He himself is very religious. Its reflection is also visible in his work. Leavitt continues to wear a cross necklace. Levitt maintained a balance between his personal life and his political career. In 2023, Levitt got engaged to real estate developer Nicholas Riccio. Rikio is 32 years older than him. The following year, in 2024, they had a son, named Robert Riccio, Levitt married Nicholas in January 2025, days before becoming White House Press Secretary. In May 2026, both of them gave birth to a daughter. Levitt is quite glamorous. Its reflection can be seen in his professional and personal life also. Where she started working in the White House Correspondence Office writing letters to voters. It was from here that she came in contact with Trump. Then she became Assistant Press Secretary. She emerged as a big supporter of Trump. After Trump's defeat in 2020, Levitt alleged widespread voter fraud in voting, despite a lack of evidence. In 2021, she left the White House job. After this, she became the communications director of Elise Stefanik, a Republican representative from New York. She also contested elections from New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District in 2022, but lost. After this she became the spokesperson for MAGA Inc., a fund-raising group in support of Trump. Then she joined the 2024 election campaign as national press secretary.
When Trump became president again in 2025, Levitt was elected White House press secretary. She became the youngest press secretary at the age of 27. Before this, Ronald Ziegler had become Richard Nixon's spokesperson at the age of 29. Levitt was even younger than Ziegler.
