East Zone wicketkeeper batsman Kumar Kushagra also played a century in the Duleep Trophy final. The 21-year-old player defeated the South Zone bowlers brilliantly and completed his century in 128 balls, which included 8 fours and 5 sixes. This was the sixth century of Kushagra's first class career. He came to the crease on the score of 241/4.
He supported captain Ishan Kishan very well and returned unbeaten on 63 runs at stumps on the first day. Today (7 September) he extended his innings and completed his century before lunch.
He reached triple figures with a single on the first ball of the 100th over of East Zone's innings. As soon as the century was completed, Kushagra took off his helmet and thanked God, looking upwards with both his hands. After this he played his bat like a violin. His unique style has gone viral.

230 run partnership with Ishan Kishan
After scoring a century, Kushagra tried to score more runs but he became the victim of T Vijay. He pulled the short ball of this off-spinner. But the timing was not right and the ball took the upper edge of his bat and went for an easy catch at fine leg. Kushagra was disappointed with himself. He was out on a personal score of 101 runs. He had a chance to make this innings bigger. Although he had done his job.

Kushagra along with Ishaan made a partnership of 230 runs for the fifth wicket. His wicket fell at the score of 471. After Kushagra returned to the pavilion, Ishaan and Anukul Roy did not allow East Zone to suffer any further setback till lunch and took the score close to 500. Ishaan is playing on 171 runs, while Anukul is unbeaten on 5.
