Dyson has entered the oral-care market with the launch of the CameraJet, an AI-powered electric toothbrush featuring a built-in camera that can detect gaps between teeth and automatically direct a jet of mouthrinse at them while brushing.
The premium toothbrush was unveiled in Paris on September 1 and is priced at $499.99 in the US, which is approximately Rs 42,000-43,000. The device is currently being sold in select international markets, while Dyson has not announced an India price or launch date yet.
Dyson CameraJet: How does it work?
The biggest highlight of the Dyson CameraJet is its 100,000-pixel macro camera built into the brush head. The camera works with Dyson’s Gap Optical Targeting technology and an AI machine-learning algorithm to identify, track and predict gaps between teeth.
The system analyses 28 images every second. When it detects an interdental gap, the toothbrush can trigger a targeted burst of mouthrinse in as little as 100 milliseconds. The idea is to allow users to brush and precision-floss at the same time without manually directing a water jet.
The toothbrush uses a conical jet rather than the narrow, needle-type jet commonly found in traditional water flossers. Dyson says the wider jet is designed to cover more area while operating at lower pressure to be gentler on the gums and enamel.
The device has a 12.5ml anti-gravity mouthrinse tank, which is designed to deliver liquid consistently even when the toothbrush is held at different angles. Its charging and refill dock can refill the tank in around three seconds.

The CameraJet comes with a variable sonic oscillation system designed to keep the bristles moving while brushing. Its sonic motor oscillates 245 times per second, while the company says the brush head moves nearly 1,000 times per second.
The dual-bristle head has firmer inner bristles for lifting surface stains and softer outer bristles designed to clean along the gumline. Each brush head also features an RFID tag that monitors usage and alerts users when it needs to be replaced.
The toothbrush offers three cleaning modes: Auto-jet and Brush, Auto-jet only, and Brush only. Users can also choose between three brushing intensities — Gentle, Variable and Deep Clean. Built-in sensors provide feedback when too much pressure or an incorrect brushing technique is detected.

MyDyson app and privacy
The CameraJet connects to the MyDyson app, allowing users to view live footage from the intraoral camera while brushing. The app also provides guided cleaning, coverage mapping, brushing insights and personalised feedback.
Dyson says the camera is only active during live viewing or when the automatic jetting function is operating. The company says images are not stored on the toothbrush or in the cloud and are deleted from the app after viewing.

Dyson CameraJet price and availability
The Dyson CameraJet is priced at $499.99 in the US, equivalent to approximately Rs 42,000-43,000 before accounting for taxes and local pricing. The product is available in Ceramic Ultra Blue and Ceramic Pink variants. Dyson’s US product page currently lists the toothbrush at $499.99.
Dyson announced the CameraJet and its wider Dental System for launch on September 1, 2026, through Dyson’s website, Dyson Demo Stores and selected retailers in markets where it is available.
India availability: Dyson has not yet announced the official India price or launch date for the CameraJet. The company’s India website is currently accepting availability-update registrations, indicating that the product is not yet available for purchase in India.
The package includes the CameraJet toothbrush, travel case, refill dock, anti-gravity tank, two dual-bristle brush heads, a USB-C to pogo-pin charging cable and a swappable lithium-ion battery.
Dyson says the CameraJet took six years to develop, involved 661 engineers and used a machine-learning system trained on more than 470,000 dental images. The company has also filed 38 patents related to the product.
