Egg is a widely used household ingredient in hair care. The proteins, fats and other nutrients it contains make the hair conditioned and smooth.
But many people have a problem while using egg hair mask, that is that the smell of egg remains in the hair. To avoid that problem, mix some ingredients with the egg, which are useful in hair care as well as suppressing the eggy smell.
1. Egg-yogurt hair mask
Mix 2 tablespoons of sour yogurt with one egg. If you want, you can add 1 teaspoon of honey to it. Yogurt blends well with the hair and honey helps retain moisture in the hair. Apply the mixture from root to tip and leave it for about 20 minutes. Then wash well with cold water and shampoo.
2. Egg, aloe vera and lemon mask
Mix 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and a few drops of lemon juice with one egg. Aloe vera helps keep hair soft and smooth, and lemon reduces egg odor. Apply on scalp, leave for 15-20 minutes and wash off. However, if there is any irritation on the scalp, it is better not to use lemon.
3. Egg and banana hair mask
Mash a ripe banana and mix it with an egg. Banana makes hair smooth. Its sweet smell can also mask the smell of eggs. Apply on hair and wait for 20 minutes and wash with cold water.
4. Egg and coconut milk mask
Mix 2-3 tablespoons of coconut milk with one egg. Coconut milk conditions the hair from the inside, it also reduces the bad smell of eggs. Do not apply the mask on your hair for more than 20 minutes. Then shampoo well.
5. Egg and coffee hair mask
Mix one egg with one tablespoon of fine coffee powder and one tablespoon of curd to make a thick paste. The smell of the coffee will help mask the smell of the eggs. Apply the paste on the hair and leave it for 15-20 minutes and wash off with cold water.
Remember, never use hot water while washing the egg mask. Eggs harden in the heat and do not want to be cleaned from the hair, so the smell also remains.
