England defeated Ireland by 114 runs in the third ODI and won the series 3-0, Dunkley's century.

Delhi: England performed brilliantly in the three-match ODI series against Ireland and made a clean sweep of 3-0. In the third match played at the New Road ground in Worcester, England defeated Ireland by 114 runs. Batting first, England scored 291 runs in 48.5 overs and then bundled out the entire Irish team for 177 runs.

Dunkley played a brilliant century innings

The biggest reason for England's victory was the excellent batting of Sophia Dunkley. He was chosen player of the match. Dunkley played a brilliant inning of 119 runs in 119 balls, which included 15 fours. He batted with patience in difficult conditions and took the team to a strong score.

Dunkley and Jody Greycock made an important partnership of 110 runs for the second wicket. Greycock scored 35 runs. Earlier, Maya Bushier had given a fast start to England by scoring 39 runs. By the time Dunkley was out in the 36th over, England's score was 214 runs.

Gibson and Kemp increased the score

After Dunkley's departure, Daniel Gibson maintained the run pace by scoring 41 runs in 37 balls. Freya Kemp also contributed 23 runs. With the help of these innings, England reached 291 runs. Cara Murray was the most successful bowler for Ireland and took four wickets.

Ireland started well, but partnerships could not be formed

Chasing the target, Ireland batted positively in the beginning, but captain Gabby Lewis was out after scoring only 16 runs. After this, Alice Tactor and Amy Hunter took over the innings by adding 56 runs. After scoring 29 runs, Tilly was bowled by Courteen-Coleman.

Hunter along with Orla Prendergast added 27 runs. After this, Prendergast also made a partnership of 20 runs with Rebecca Stokal. Prendergast became the victim of Maddy Villiers in the 34th over of her 50th ODI.

England's bowlers did all the work

After this, Lewis Little and Leigh Paul gave some hope by adding 34 runs for the sixth wicket, but England tightened their grip on the match by taking consecutive wickets. There were only partnerships of 4, 0, 4 and 2 runs between the last four wickets of Ireland, after which the entire team was all out for 177 runs in 44.2 overs. For England, Lauren Filler and Maddy Villiers took three wickets each.
