Delhi: The first Test between England and Pakistan started at Headingley on Wednesday. England won the toss and chose fielding. Playing first, Pakistan team was limited to only 171 runs in the first innings. Pakistan played 48.1 overs. England's fast bowlers kept the pressure on Pakistani batsmen from the beginning and Ollie Robinson and Josh Tong destroyed the entire innings by taking 5 wickets each.
Big blow on the very first ball
Pakistan had a very bad start. Ajan Awais was out LBW on the very first ball of the innings. He became the first player of Pakistan to be out on the first ball of the Test series. Ollie Robinson made him his victim and Pakistan got its first blow without a run.

After this, Shan Masood also could not last long and after scoring 5 runs, he was out LBW on the ball of Robinson and returned to the pavilion. After the initial setbacks, Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafiq tried to control the innings.
Imam and Shafiq added 91 runs
After the early fall of two wickets, Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafiq made a brilliant partnership. Both added 91 runs for the third wicket. Imam scored 42 runs in 74 balls, which included 6 fours. Whereas Abdullah Shafiq was the most successful batsman of Pakistan. He scored 61 runs in 104 balls and hit 8 fours. However, as soon as Shafiq was out, Pakistan's innings faltered once again.
After the dismissal of Abdullah Shafiq, Pakistan's wickets continued to fall. Saud Shakeel could score only 5 runs, Captain Salman Aga could score 21 runs and Mohammad Rizwan could score only 12 runs.
Robinson and Tongue opened their claws
Ollie Robinson bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets for 51 runs in 18 overs. Whereas Josh Tong took 5 wickets for 46 runs in 9.1 overs. Robinson dismissed Azaan Awais, Shan Masood, Abdullah Shafiq, Saud Shakeel and Khurram Shahzad. Tong took the wickets of Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Agha, Mohammad Rizwan, Ali Usman and Mohammad Abbas.
Pakistan's innings ended at 171 runs
Khurram Shahzad showed some pace in the end by scoring 14 runs in 12 balls, but he also became the fifth victim of Robinson. After this, Tong bowled Mohammad Abbas and ended Pakistan's innings at 171 runs.
