Entry of 15 MPs who came to meet Sonam Wangchuk banned, opposition leaders sitting on dharna outside Medanta Hospital
New Delhi: Several opposition MPs reached Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital on Tuesday to meet social activist and educationist Sonam Wangchuk, but the police did not allow them to enter. After this, there was an uproar outside the hospital for a long time, after which the MPs raised questions on the decision of the police and called it wrong.
Why were the MPs refused to meet?
According to the information, about 15 opposition MPs had reached the hospital to inquire about the well being of Sonam Wangchuk. However, the police stopped them from going inside the hospital. Officials said that as per hospital rules, at present only close family members are allowed to meet the patient. Police told the MPs that if they wish, they can meet Wangchuk’s wife Gitanjali, but they cannot be allowed to meet the patient.
