Know what is the new update of EPFO

Do you know that many PFOs currently settle claims only up to Rs 5 lakh in an automated manner? If you need money for illness, marriage or to build a house, the work gets done soon. But the real challenge comes when the employee decides to withdraw his deposited amount.

At present, it easily takes up to a month to complete this process. EPFO is planning to put the final PF settlement in this automated mode soon. As soon as this process is activated, as soon as the employee retires and claims for PF, the software itself can do the work of checking the papers. With this, money will come directly into their account.

Know what will happen to PF if you leave the company

According to EPFO Central Commissioner Ramesh Krishnamurthy, after the introduction of the auto-transfer system, as soon as you change the new employer, your old PF data will automatically migrate to your account. In such a situation your money will not get stuck.

Funds can also be withdrawn from ATM and UPI

EPFO is going to start the process of withdrawing money from ATM and UPI soon. By the end of May 2026, it is expected that PF money can be withdrawn through ATM or UPI. This facility is part of ‘EPFO 3.0’ upgrade.
